CULAJAO, ROXAS CITY – Members of the newly established Culajao DPC Winniely Aminoso and Grace Amores shared how the various trainings capacitated them to become more proactive members of their community. Community leaders Brgy Kagawad Tirso Clarito and Brgy Captain Floyd de Jose also expressed their gratitude for having their barangay as one of the beneficiaries during PCDR’s project implementation.
Through PCDR’s 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 (𝐄𝐧𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 supported by Johanniter International Assistance and Aktion Deutschland Hilft, community members from new areas such as Culajao, Roxas City became recipient of trainings that primarily forwarded the Community-Based Disaster Management. This approach puts into focus the grassroot experiences of the community in managing and mitigating disasters.
Through Project EnPrep this approach was maximized through various trainings, allowing community members to see their role in collectively making their communities resilient.//
